About Robert Turfe
An independent filmmaker in Pacific Palisades, California, Robert "Rob" Turfe has written and produced multiple projects. Working with co-writer Benedict Fitzgerald, who co-wrote The Passion of the Christ with Mel Gibson, he created the first draft of The Sacrifice by the Euphrates. After writing the first draft of the 1,400-year-old story of Husayn, grandson of the prophet Muhammad, he contributed to the story’s expansion into a six-episode limited series. All of his films emphasize socially relevant issues and aim to make the world a better place. Robert "Rob" Turfe is working on the four-part miniseries Kleptocracy, about a high-ranking military officer involved in a United States military intervention in Iran.
A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Robert Turfe earned a bachelor of science in engineering management and mechanical engineering before serving deployments in support of the Gulf War, as well as peacekeeping operations in the Balkans on behalf of the United Nations. Nominated for the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award, he received the Joint Service Commendation Medal and the Humanitarian Relief Medal.Education
